My dad has been helping my husband and I out by doing yard work and he needed gloves so he wouldn’t cut up his hands on palm fronds. Ad pictures looked like these would provide good protection for his big old man mits. When I gave him the gloves today he responded in a thick Minnesotan accent “oh boy, des er fancy gloves, ain’t they? Nothing like the 10 pack o’ gloves I use-ta get down at da fleet farm when I worked at da factory”. God, how I wish I had recorded that… Anyways, he is a connoisseur of work gloves, as he did work in an aluminum casting factory for 30 years in Minnesota. After 5 hours using these gloves today he said he thinks the gloves are great! No blisters from the gloves, and no cuts or punctures on his hands/wrists from the lawn debris he was toting around. He said he had zero complaints with these gloves.He has large hands with sausage-like fingers (he’s 6’2” with size 12 feet) and the XL fit well.I am fond of a quality pair of work gloves, so please forgive me if I seem a bit overly enthusiastic about these gloves. These are REALLY nice garden/yard style work gloves that fit as expected. I use them for handling power tools and garden tools.These gloves are split leather that is reinforced on the palm and height wear points on the index finger. Cross palm stitching as well. Poly and breathable mayoral on top hand area, with leather at the knuckles.Cotton lined on the inside, which is a very much appreciated feature, making these really comfortable!Bright color makes for an easy find if a glove is dropped, as well as knowing exactly where the hand is in peripheral vision - helpful if handling power tools such as chain saws.Cuffs are high enough for coverage well above long sleeve shirt. Comfortable. Well constructed to handle medium work tasks. These are my favorite go-to gloves in the tool shed. At $10.99, theses gloves are an EXCEPTIONAL value as their quality is similar to gloves 2 and a half times more the price! I will be buying again.My first impression of these gloves was that they were heavier and more finely made than the standard issue inexpensive cowhide gloves from the local orange box store. Sure enough, on a postal scale they are 4.1 ounces per glove as opposed to 3 ounces. Most, if not all, of that weight is due to the reinforcing layer on the palm, thumb and forefinger. I don't have particularly large hands but usually wear a size Large glove and find that size in these gloves to be comfortably roomy--a good fit, overall. They are flexible. I found no resistance to forming a grip on a tool handle. The fabric material is light and breathable but appears durable. The one thing I wish all gloves of this type had (but which is missing from these and most others) is reinforcement at the fingertips. It seems most gloves I discard due to holes on the second and third (index and middle) digits. Bottom line: These are well made, comfortable, potentially durable and a bit pricey cowhide work gloves.I had a recent sewer issue and used these to handle the tools. The gloves fit nice, no issues there. I have larger hands and didn't have a problem. The leather was good, plenty thick and pliable. These would be equally well suited for any normal physical labor, like garden work or putting in fence posts.Great for a variety of yardwork like pulling weeds, lifting branches/twigs, pulling tall grass and stray plants.- Thick and comfortable so nothing will poke through and hurt you- Repel water pretty well and protect your hands- Not overly tight so you get circulation that doesn't make your hands sweaty like plastic gloves- Rinse off cleanlyWould purchase again!These gloves are pretty heavy-duty and are thick enough to protect hands.
