These Sandals are soooo well made. They have a non-skid rubber bottom. The colored striped that goes all the way around between bottom and insole is stitched on, not glued. The insole has an added padded cushion that is also stitched in instead of it being glued. If you are a Plus size girl you need a good base to a Dandal so you don't feel like you're barefoot walking on cement. These Sandals have that sturdy stable base we need. The piece that goes between the toes is very comfortable and didn't have to be broken in. The elastic strap that goes around your heel is approximately 1/2 " and it's a generous size and doesn't make the heel hurt because elastic is too tight. I was skeptic when I ordered because the price was so great. I wore these for hours with 4 broken toes and no new shoe pain at all. I have a large foot and major foot problems. I am constantly buying shoes, and spend well over $100 most of the time. These feel better than a lot of my pricey shoes sitting in boxes. I love these soooo much I am going to order every color available, and doubles of some colors to have a back up pair in case these go and replaced with a new style.
